Bed yoga, you ask? Read on and find out more…
Like a huge percentage of the population, I suffered from the most awful lower back pain for years. And it all stemmed from sitting on my ass all day long (my fault for choosing to write books!). Yes… sitting is the new smoking. It’s insanely bad for you. Yet we all do it WAY TOO MUCH. Thankfully, my back pain has dramatically decreased since discovering yoga. However I do still suffer from time to time. And I know what sets it off. Sitting; spending too much time on the computer; spending too much time watching the telly (sometimes I can be such a couch potato); doing certain exercises; sitting (I had to add that a second time just to make my point).
So, other than yoga every day, you want to know my other number one tip to ease lower back pain? Bed yoga. Yes, you read that right. Bed yoga. Now, don’t get all worried. I’m not talking about tantric sex or anything that like. I’m simply talking about doing a tiny little bit of yoga before you actually get out of bed every morning. Seriously, it’s the best thing since sliced bread (I don’t actually buy sliced bread fyi) and it WORKS.
Ease your aches and pains
If you’re a sufferer of lower back ache, I urge you to give it a try. Dubious? When you get out of bed every day, does it take you quite a while until the aches and pains have eased? Do you hobble to the bathroom? Do you struggle to put your socks on? Trouble petting the dog good morning? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then give this bed yoga a try. It’s very short. Super easy to remember. And super easy to do. So what are you waiting for? Go forth and ease your aches and pains my friends….
